About the Classes

STONE CARVING AND SCULPTURE
Explore your creativity and find inspiration with expert instructor Michael Tine at the Milken East Campus stone carving studio. Learn the technical skills of stone carving, along with aesthetic approaches from the Renaissance through post-modern times, to develop your personal style and artistic expression. First-time students are provided with basic tools and equipment on loan, and the instructor offers guidance on stone selection.

ACRYLIC PAINTING
Take a journey into the creative and expressive sides of acrylic painting and mixed media with a contemporary approach, and find your own creative voice. While all styles and genres are welcomed and encouraged, the emphasis in this class will be on personal expression and locating your inner artist. This course is open to students of all levels with individual attention given to each student.
