About the Program

Join mindfulness teacher Mark Landsman as we bring the healing practice of mindfulness meditation to the ancient Jewish festival of Sukkot. Mindfulness helps cultivate an open and enlivened awareness of the body, mind, and spirit as it is, in the present moment. In this special event we will explore how the practice enhances a progression of rituals that Jews around the world have repeated for centuries: gathering in a temporary dwelling exposed to the elements, smelling the etrog, listening to the sounds of the lulav, tastes and smells of food, and the feeling of community. Sukkot is a true celebration of the senses, and mindfulness invites us to awaken to it all.
