About the Program

Wild Things Are Happening: The Art of Maurice Sendak is a groundbreaking exhibition centered on Maurice Sendak's sweeping sixty-year career.

Be among the first to explore the galleries! Celebrate the work of the Jewish artist and creator of the acclaimed children's books, Where the Wild Things Are (1963), In the Night Kitchen (1970), and Outside Over There (1982). Get lost in the galleries as you explore more than 150 objects including original paintings and drawings, children's toys and more.

Reservations are not required to view the galleries on this day. They are required for the Curator Talk. Gallery attendance is based on membership level.
