About the Program
Be among the first to explore the galleries! All galleries will be open for viewing starting at 12:00 pm.
Jack Kirby: Heroes and Humanity delves deep into the six-decade career of legendary comic book artist Jack Kirby (1917–1994). This exhibition goes beyond the page, featuring original comic illustrations, fine art, and commercial art—many on view for the first time—and his experiences as a first-generation Jewish American whose faith remained important throughout his life.
Away in the Catskills: Summers, Sour Cream, and Dirty Dancing by Marisa J. Futernick takes us back to mid-century America to sift through inherited and imagined memories of family vacations in the Catskill Mountains of New York. Futernick infuses senses of longing and belonging as a love letter to the Catskills, where Jewish families like hers experienced a safe and welcoming place to enjoy family time.
Reservations are not required to view the galleries on this day. They are required for the Curator Talk. Gallery attendance is based on membership level.
