About the Program

Writers Bloc Presents® and the Skirball Cultural Center invite you to hear from MSNBC anchor Katy Tur. In her new book, Rough Draft, Tur shares stories from a life lived in TV news—from her beginnings as the daughter of groundbreaking LA helicopter journalists to national news anchor, and now, mother of two. Tur will be joined in conversation by MSNBC correspondent and fellow author Jacob Soboroff.

Intimate and captivating, Rough Draft explores the gift and curse of family legacy, examines the roles and responsibilities of the news, and asks the question: To what extent do we each get to write our own story?

Books available for purchase. A book signing follows the program.
