Does saying "I'M INTERESTED" guarantee admission to and/or seating at Sunset Concerts?
No. We cannot guarantee admission, and limited seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
I didn't say "I'M INTERESTED." Can I still attend Sunset Concerts?
Yes! We welcome walk-up attendees, as space allows. Please note that admission and seating for all attendees are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Will there be more Sunset Concerts this year?
We're experimenting with different ways to showcase music at the Skirball and, this year, in addition to four Sunset Concerts plus a DJ Dance Party.
Does the Skirball have on-site parking?
Yes! Parking is available in the Skirball’s North Parking garage, located underground at the north end of the Skirball's main driveway, approximately 150 yards north of our Main Entrance. Parking is also available in the East Parking garage, located across Sepulveda Blvd. Please follow the directions given by our parking and security teams at all times.
Visitors with ADA parking placards may use the South Parking garage, just south of the Main Entrance.
Street parking is strictly prohibited.

What time does check-in open for Sunset Concerts?
6:30 pm for live performances and 6:00 pm for the DJ Dance Party. All visitors must enter through the Main Entrance.
Upon checking in, will I need to go through security?
Bags will be checked upon arrival. Please remember that outside alcoholic beverages, glass containers, and glassware are not permitted.
Once inside, what can I do at Sunset Concerts?
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to eat, drink, shop, and check out the exhibitions, beginning at 6:30 pm. After you get your wristband and check in, you can:
- View the exhibitions Wild Things Are Happening: The Art of Maurice Sendak, Frank Stella: Had Gadya, The American Library, Common Ground, and Visions and Values: Jewish Life from Antiquity to America (featuring the newly added Later in Life: Adult B'nail Mitzvah multi-screen video installation by Sabrina Gschwandtner).
- Enjoy bar service and light snacks in Taper Courtyard, where the concerts take place.
- Shop books, jewelry, keepsakes, and more from Audrey’s Museum Store (open until 8:00 pm).
- Purchase food and drinks in Founders Courtyard (behind the lobby), including salads, sandwiches, cookies, and chips, along with a full bar (open until 8:30 pm). Ask about specialty cocktails and food items based on the evening’s performance!
Are food and drinks available at Sunset Concerts?
Yes! Sandwiches, salads, and snacks will be available until 8:30 pm in Founders Courtyard. Beverages, including full bar service, will be available in Taper Courtyard throughout the night.
Can I bring alcoholic beverages to Sunset Concerts?
No. While you are welcome to bring outside food to the concerts, please remember that outside alcoholic beverages, glass containers, and glassware are not permitted.
Can I bring my pet to the Skirball?
ADA-certified service animals are welcome; pets are not permitted.
Can I purchase items from Audrey’s Museum Store at Sunset Concerts?
Yes! Audrey’s Museum Store will be open until 8:00 pm. Be sure to pick up your items before the concert begins.
Can I visit the Museum galleries during Sunset Concerts?
Yes! Wild Things Are Happening: The Art of Maurice Sendak, Frank Stella: Had Gadya, The American Library, Common Ground, and Visions and Values: Jewish Life from Antiquity to America will be open to concert attendees until 10:00 pm. Gallery capacity limits may apply.
Can I take photos at Sunset Concerts?
You are welcome to take non-flash photographs and videos using hand-held devices for personal, non-commercial use. No flash photography of any kind is permitted. Please no tripods, selfie sticks, or other equipment that may obscure other attendees' views of the concert.

Can I get to the Skirball via public transportation?
Yes! Take public transportation to the Skirball via Metro 233/761.
I’m taking a rideshare service (Lyft, Uber, etc.) or taxi to the Skirball. Where should I request to be dropped off?
Rideshare pickup and drop-off are located outside the Main Entrance, by the front steps on Herscher Drive.
Can I bring my child to Sunset Concerts?
Yes! Children are welcome at all concerts. The Sunset Concerts family lounge, located directly adjacent to the concert venue, provides a dedicated environment where you can enjoy the concert in a comfortable kid-friendly space. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No drop-offs.
Are there amenities for visitors with disabilities at Sunset Concerts?
Yes! ADA accessible seating will be available for those who need it. You can find additional information about ADA accessible parking, borrowing mobility devices, bringing service animals, and other efforts we are making to welcome visitors to the Skirball on our accessibility page.
Are noise-cancelling headphones or earplugs available?
Yes! Visitors with small children and babies may borrow sanitized noise-cancelling headphones during Sunset Concerts, subject to availability. Earplugs are available for adult visitors.
What should I leave at home?
We kindly ask that the following items be left at home:
- Alcoholic beverages (full bar service is available throughout the night)
- Chairs and umbrellas
- Glass items (including bottles, containers, and glassware)
- Selfie sticks
- Tripods
Please note that upon entering the Skirball for Sunset Concerts, all bags will be checked.
Is smoking/vaping permitted?
For the health and safety of all, the Skirball campus is a smoke-free environment except in designated areas. For Sunset Concerts, the lone designated smoking/vaping area is outside on the front steps to the main entrance.
What if I don’t want to attend the concert but want to visit the museum galleries?
Museum galleries are open only to concert attendees.
