About this Program

K–12 educators are invited to explore ways of integrating art and culture into their Ethnic Studies curriculum and multicultural instruction. In celebration of AAPI Heritage and Jewish American Heritage month, hear from renowned educator and activist, Liz Kleinrock, as she demonstrates her inquiry-based strategy for leading critical dialogues with students and shares how her personal, intersectional identities influence her teaching practice. This program includes art-integrated lesson demonstrations and workshops by museum educators (including one about Skirball's free resources for teachers—previewed below), gallery conversations, resource presentations, giveaways, refreshments, and more!

The Skirball Cultural Center is proud to take part in USC PAM's initiative to give teachers a one-of-a-kind learning experience with tools that can directly be applied in their classrooms, alongside partners the USC Shoah Foundation and Facing History and Ourselves.
