About the Program

New date—Head to the Skirball for more Star Trek on the big screen! In Star Trek VI, the Klingons finally agree to negotiate a peace treaty with the United Federation of Planets. That is, until the Enterprise appears to fire on a Klingon vessel. In the ensuing chaos, Captain Kirk and Dr. McCoy are arrested for murder, leaving Spock to find out who is behind the attack and save the negotiations. (1991, 113 min. Rated PG.)

Following the screening, hear about the making of the film, its Cold War parallels, and more during a conversation between director Nicholas Meyer, producer Steven-Charles Jaffe, and Star Trek expert Scott Mantz. Plus, check out the exhibition, Star Trek: Exploring New Worlds, before the screening!
